Prospective Students

Once admitted to Kettering College, official transcript(s) will be evaluated by the transfer evaluation committee.  Transfer credit will be evaluated for courses required by the specified program as indicated on student’s application.  Once evaluations are completed students will receive a written notice of what credits are approved for transfer.
Prospective students requesting official evaluation of transfer credit prior to college admissions must complete Kettering College’s the application process, which includes the submission of official transcripts from all colleges previously attended.  Students who have completed application files will be evaluated and notified in writing of what credits are approved for transfer.
Prospective students seeking pre-approval of course(s) to be taken at another regionally accredited institution prior to enrolling at Kettering College must complete the course evaluation request form.  Course descriptions must be attached for each course submitted.
All approvals are valid for one year. Please note curriculum changes in a program may mean prerequisite requirements may also change. (Refer to Transfer Credit section in Kettering College Academic Bulletin)
Students with considerable transfer credit may experience difficulty in registering for full-time status once enrolled.

Admitted or Current Students

Students are responsible for following the specific program curriculum and tracking the courses necessary for the desired degree.  Students assume full responsibility for taking courses in sequence different from the curriculum outlined in the bulletin. Once enrolled, students are expected to take all remaining coursework at Kettering. However, there may be extenuating circumstances where students registering at Kettering College have a conflict that creates a need to enroll at another institution.  Extenuating circumstances do not include taking courses out of sequence, instructor preference, or for financial aid.  (Refer to Simultaneous Enrollment section in the Academic Bulletin or to SOCHE: Cross Registration)

Please submit the course evaluation form with appropriate descriptions for each course submitted, along with the appropriate forms for SOCHE.  Course evaluation request forms may also be obtained by contacting the Records Office at (937) 395-6615.
