Library Services

Library Mission Statement and Goals

Photocopiers: Available for making copies from both print & microfiche, at $.15/page [or $.10/page with copy card purchased at kc Bookstore]

Group Study Rooms: Four large and four small rooms may be reserved for group study or viewing of audiovisual materials

Audiovisuals: Over 1500 items, including DVDs, videos, audiocassettes, CD-ROMs, & anatomical models

Audiovisual Equipment: TV/VCR/DVD units available for use in the library

Interlibrary Loan: Obtain materials not available in-house or through OhioLINK

Library Resources

Books & Periodicals: The library collection holds about 25,000 titles & 250+ current journal subscriptions. Back issues of journals are either bound or on microfiche

Full Text Sources: The library provides access to full-text articles from numerous journals. Printing from student workstations is charged to student accounts.

Off-Campus Access: Get to many databases & the library catalog from your home computer. See library staff for details.

Databases: 100+ databases are currently available online via the library web page, including: CINAHL, MEDLINE, Up to Date  & EBSCO Health Source

Circulation Policies

RENEWALS
Books may be renewed up to 4 times, if there are no holds on the item; most other items may be renewed once.

FINES
KC Books: $.10/day; $5.00 maximum per item
KC Audiovisuals: $.20/day; $5.00 maximum per item
Reserve Items: $1.00/day
OhioLINK items: $.50/day; $35.00 additional charge for items more than 30 days overdue
Lost college library items: Replacement cost plus $10.00 processing charge
OhioLINK Replacement Fees: $125.00 plus processing charge

PLEASE NOTE! Borrowing privileges are suspended when unpaid fines total $10.00

Direct Borrowing

KC students, faculty, or staff members, as well as KMC Network employees, must present a current, valid ID card to borrow materials. Students from SOCHE & OhioLINK schools with current, validated ID cards from their home institutions may also borrow materials.
