Tuta’s career started with the completion of an associate degree in Radiologic Technology and a certificate in Computed Tomography. She also completed her bachelor degree in Health, a masters degree in Health Services Administration, and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership with Specialization in Curriculum Design and Class Instruction. Tuta had the pleasure of working for many years as a full-time Cat Scan technologist at an area hospital, teach as adjunct faculty for Sinclair Community College, as well as take on a full time radiology clinical coordinator role with Kettering College (KC).
She is dynamic, structured, and highly effective in her current role of Program Director of Medical Imaging and Sciences, and Chair of Radiologic Technology at KC. Equally important is her work as an accreditation site visitor for the Joint Review Commission on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Tuta describes herself as “master juggler: mother, wife, daughter, sister, avid reader, gardener, home cook, pet owner and pet lover, mentor and friend to many. Love it all!”
Tuta Ionescu is a native of Romania. She immigrated to the United States in 1995 with her husband, Daniel. Ohio has been her home ever since her arrival and has offered many years of happy, quiet living in its suburbs. She currently resides in Waynesville with her husband, three amazing teenage children, two cats, and one dog. While busy with work and children, she finds time for reading, cooking, and gardening. Her favorites are her vegetable garden and her many perennial flowers.
