Volunteers Needed for the Active Shooter Drill
On Sunday, January 28, 2018, at 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., an Active Shooter Drill will take place at Sycamore Hospital.
This full-scale exercise, “Dawn of a New Day”, is a great opportunity to volunteer and participate in emergency preparedness. This exercise trains police, fire, security and hospital personnel to respond to mass casualty event. The event is in coordination with Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association (GDAHA), Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS), and Kettering Health Network.
If you are interested in being a real live “victim” with moulage to simulate wounds and injuries, we are looking for 40 volunteers to be a victim at this event. The previous drill was a huge success and everyone who was involved enjoyed the opportunity to learn how to respond should this event ever occur.
