To date the CT and MRI modalities have successfully completed the 125 check offs required by the ARRT to sit for the registry. We have an above average first time registry pass rate as well as job placement for those actively seeking jobs. Each modality (CT, MRI, VIT and CIT) have been deemed by the ARRT as, “Meets the ARRT structural education requirement for certification and registration.” This approval meets a new requirement to sit for the Registry by the ARRT mandatory as of January 2016.
The Advanced Imaging program at Kettering College is by far the best in the Dayton area. I have had students from many different programs, and I always feel that the Kettering Advanced Imaging students are the best prepared and informed on the newest information about their modality.
The school is very organized and helps the student towards the goal of obtaining all requirements of the clinical setting and preparation for the Registry. I feel there is the best support system for students at Kettering College Advanced imaging and the students always seem enthusiastic about their trade.
I have personally hired recent students from the Advanced Imaging program and they are fantastic, competent technologists working for our Soin Medical Center Imaging team.
