You’ve attended an Orientation Day, now what?
If you’re wondering what to do between now and the first day of class, follow the guide below to stay organized.
Make first payment. A down payment of $800 needs to be paid unless a student has been awarded financial aid, or has 3rd party sponsorship, that equals the total semester tuition and fee bill. In order to make a payment, log into your student portal. If you need help making a payment, you can contact Sarah Shultz.
Watch Title IX video. At Kettering College, Title IX helps affirm the worth and dignity of every person. This video will become available about a week before classes begin. Make sure to watch the video.
Buy books and class materials. Our goal is to provide students with convenient and cost-effective education solutions. We’re proud to partner with MBS Direct, who will fulfill your course material needs. MBS Direct offers streamlined ordering of course materials and offers seven ways to reduce textbooks costs. You have access to a robust selection of e-book options that will advance student learning. For those needing to buy scrubs or a lab coat, you can order them here.
Complete clinical paperwork (if applicable). Those in programs with clinical work will be required to complete paperwork that includes a background check and immunization records. Check in with your specific program to confirm if you need to complete this paperwork.
Move in day. If you are living in the residence hall, move-in day is Thursday, August 23 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Residence Hall Orientation will follow at 5:45 pm. Here’s a list of items to bring, as a residence in the residence hall. If you have any questions about living in the residence hall, contact Sarah Bayer.
Attend Fall Welcome. Fall Welcome, which is an all-day event on Friday, August 23, is designed to give Kettering College students the best chance of success while starting the new school year.
