You’ve attended an Orientation Day, now what?

If you’re wondering what to do between now and the first day of class on August 26, follow the guide below to stay organized.

Make first payment. A down payment of $800 needs to be paid unless a student has been awarded financial aid, or has 3^rd party sponsorship, which equals the total semester tuition and fee bill. This financial clearance deadline is August 1. In order to make a payment, log into your student portal. Reach out to Financial.Aid@my.kc.edu for any questions.

Buy books and class materials. Our goal is to provide students with convenient and cost-effective education solutions. We’re proud to partner with eCampus, who will fulfill your course material needs. eCampus offers streamlined ordering of course materials and offers seven ways to reduce textbooks costs. You can access a robust selection of e-book options that will advance student learning. For those needing to buy scrubs or a lab coat, you can order them here.

Complete clinical paperwork (if applicable). Those in programs with clinical work will be required to complete paperwork that includes a background check and immunization records. Check in with your specific program to confirm if you need to complete this paperwork.

Attend our NEW Science and Math Success Week. First-time college students are invited to attend a week-long refresher to create a firm academic foundation as you start at Kettering College. Free food and evening community building events included August 19- 22. Reserve your seat and view a full schedule of events here.  

Move-in day. If you are living in the residence hall, move-in day is Thursday before classes start, August 22. Here’s a list of items to bring, as a residence in the residence hall. If you have any questions about living in the residence hall, contact Judith Mendoza.

Attend Fall Welcome. All new students are invited to join us on August 23. We will host a variety of events such as an Employment Discussion, Title IX Training, and Program Orientations, and will provide a free dinner!
