Online Completion Program
Are you a healthcare professional thinking about going back to school to complete your bachelor’s degree? Look no further!
Kettering College offers a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences online completion program designed for those who have obtained an associate degree or its equivalent in the healthcare field. Join a program that will sharpen your skills and knowledge, but is flexible with your busy work schedule. Students can complete their degree with an emphasis in advanced imaging, education, management, or respiratory care. This program is optimized for the working healthcare professional and is the equivalent to the junior and senior years of a four-year baccalaureate program.
Kettering College now offers BSHS courses on a shortened schedule to better fit the needs of students pursuing careers in healthcare. Rather than taking multiple semester-long courses at once, students will focus on fewer classes in accelerated sessions that can be completed in seven or eight-week increments. The shortened online sessions will be offered year-round, giving students the advantage of a faster pace to degree completion along with a higher level of flexibility to accommodate work schedules.

Advanced Imaging
Completion of Kettering College’s Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree, with an emphasis in advanced imaging, provides additional training in the field, as well as advanced skills, knowledge and values that expand the radiology technician’s role in the healthcare system. You’ll gain in-depth knowledge and move toward the certification level in either sectional or vascular imaging.

Completion of Kettering College’s Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree, with an emphasis in education, provides the health care provider with skills needed to work in professional development, patient education, and with health professional students. You’ll gain in-depth knowledge of instructional planning and delivery, working with students in health care settings, and developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in health care settings.

Respiratory Care
Completion of Kettering College’s Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree, with an emphasis in respiratory care, provides additional training in the field, as well as advanced skills, knowledge and values that expand the therapist’s role in the healthcare system. You’ll gain in-depth knowledge about invasive and noninvasive cardiopulmonary monitoring; cardiopulmonary assessment in critical care, home care, rehabilitation and polysomnography settings; neonatal and pediatric respiratory care.
There are no required clinicals, so you can complete this degree within the comfort of your own home!
Program goals: “To provide graduates of entry into respiratory care professional practice degree programs with additional knowledge, skills, and attributes in leadership, management, education, research, or advanced clinical practice both to meet their current professional goals and to prepare them for practice as advanced degree respiratory therapists.”
Approval and Accreditation
The Kettering College entry into respiratory care base program #200073 is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). The degree Advancement Respiratory Care Program #510004 holds Provisional Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
This status signifies that a program with an Approval of Intent has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the Standards (through submission of an acceptable Provisional Accreditation Self Study Report (PSSR) and any other documentation required by the CoARC, as well as satisfactory completion of an initial on-site visit). The program will remain on Provisional Accreditation until it receives Continuing Accreditation.
The CoARC’s outcomes webpage provides outcomes data for all its accredited programs. “CoARC accredits respiratory therapy education programs in the United States. To achieve this end, it utilizes an ‘outcomes-based’ process. Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented.Kettering College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, approved by the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA), and authorized by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

Online B.S. Completion in Health Sciences Curriculum
The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences program (BSHS) at Kettering College provides high-quality, values-based baccalaureate education in health-related fields with a spirit of Christian caring and service. The BSHS program empowers individuals to expand their career paths. Degrees offered include an Online Completion program with multiple concentrations; Healthcare Management, Pre-Occupational Therapy, Pre-Physician Assistant, and Pre-Physical Therapy degree options.
All courses are offered online and additional clinical hours are not required.
Courses from previous experience at regionally accredited colleges or universities may be transferred to meet degree requirements.
