Bachelor of Science in Nursing for LPNS
LPN-to-BSN Admission Requirements
Admission to the LPN-to-BSN track occurs one time during the academic year for fall entry. (Note: This differs from the prelicensure BSN track, which admits students twice a year.) Preference is given to individuals who demonstrate academic strength in prerequisite coursework. To be considered for admission prior to completion of all prerequisite courses, college transcripts must reflect completion of at least one required prerequisite science course that meets admission criteria. Prerequisite courses are available at Kettering College prior to applying to the nursing program.
- Applicants must meet all Kettering College admission requirements.
- GPA: Applicants must present transcripts reflecting a cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale) or above with a minimum of a C for all prerequisite courses.
- Science prerequisite courses reflecting a cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale) or above with a minimum of a C for all prerequisite courses. Prerequisite science courses required for admission: Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Chemistry for the Health Sciences, and Microbiology.
- Applications and supporting documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.) are accepted until January 31.
Transfer students are encouraged to contact the records office for advising on prerequisite course equivalency. More information is available on the transfer section.
