Point of Grace to Appear in Free Concert at Kettering College

The Kettering College Office of Spiritual Life is pleased to announce its third free concert of the school year. Christian super group Point of Grace will appear at Kettering Seventh-day Adventist Church (3939 Stonebridge Rd., Kettering) on Friday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. A freewill offering will be collected.

Since forming at Ouachita Baptist University 19 years ago, Point of Grace has emerged as one of the biggest names in Christian music. The two-time Grammy nominees have sold more than 6.5 million albums and earned 24 consecutive No. 1 singles (27 total including radio staples “Steady On”, “The Great Divide” and “Circle of Friends”), a feat unmatched by any artist in any genre. They’ve won 10 prestigious Dove Awards, including Country Recorded Song of the Year in 2008 for “How You Live” and Country Recorded Song of the Year in 2009 for “I Wish.”

In conjunction with their 2010 album, “No Changin’ Us,” they released a cookbook, Cooking with Grace, which featured personal photos and stories to help raise money for an African orphanage. Their new album, “A Thousand Little Things,” is scheduled to be released this year on May 1. For more information about Point of Grace, go to www.pointofgrace.net/.

Point of Grace also will perform at Kettering College’s monthly Spiritual Emphasis session on Friday, April 13, at 9:30 a.m. at Kettering Adventist Church.
