Another free concert hosted by Kettering College

Kettering, Ohio (March 3) – The Kettering College Office of Spiritual Life and Kettering Seventh-day Adventist Church will host another free concert next week, as the Compassion International You Amaze Us Tour will open in Kettering on Friday, March 14. The concert is headlined by Christian artists Selah and Mark Schultz, featuring special guest JJ Heller.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m., and seating is general admission. The concert will take place at Kettering Adventist Church, located at 3939 Stonebridge Rd. in Kettering. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. A freewill offering will be collected.

The tour is named after Dove Award-winning Selah’s new album, You Amaze Us, which will be released on Aug. 19. It is the group’s first new album in three years. Since their debut in 1999, Selah has helped re-popularize traditional hymns, an approach that has netted them Dove Awards, number-one singles and more than two-and-a-half million albums sold. More information about Selah is available at www.selahonline.com.

Platinum-selling artist Mark Schultz will treat audiences to new selections from his upcoming Hymns album, slated for release this spring. According to Hallels.com, the album was “recorded specifically with Mark’s fans in mind and will be available only online and at his merchandise table.” A 14-time Dove Award nominee, Schultz is known for the inspiring stories he tells in song. JJ Heller wrote her most recent album, Loved, with her husband, Dave. Released in early 2013, it was their sixth studio album, and it featured 10 new, original songs. Heller released multiple albums before she had her first chart appearance in 2009. Her song “Your Hands,” from the album, Painted Red, hit number 13 on the Billboard Christian songs chart.
