Contract for Success
Applicants who do not meet the minimum criteria for regular admission may be admitted under Contract for Success (CFS) status at the discretion of the admissions committee. Students placed on CFS status may register for a recommended maximum of 12 credits in their first semester of enrollment, though up to 15 credits may be approved by the student’s coach to comply with program and/or admission planning.
CFS status provides students with additional resources to facilitate their success at Kettering College and are required to be completed successfully:
• KETC 099 Science and Math Refresher Workshop during pre-week;
• MATH 095 Math Companion Course
• An individualized contract for success developed collaboratively with the student’s academic coach.
A student may remain on CFS status if they fulfill the following requirements in their first semester:
• Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher; and
• Receive no grades of F in any coursework.
Students who fail to meet the minimum GPA or grading requirements while on CFS status for more than one term may be subject to additional academic support, reassessment, or dismissal from the college. CFS status may not be maintained for more than two semesters.
To transition to regular admission, students must:
• Achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher at Kettering College.
