Katherine Ferrell is a graduate of Kettering College for her ASN and BSN. After working as a Wound and Ostomy nurse for Kettering health, she went back for schooling at Chamberlain University and graduated with an MSN in 2021. After obtaining her dream job as faculty in Kettering College she began her journey towards a PhD in nursing education at Liberty University. She graduated with the PhD in March 2025. Upon graduation she received Dissertation of the Year award in 2025 at Liberty. Her dissertation title was “Lived experiences of Ukrainian nursing students in the US: A transcendental phenomenological study
