U.S. Senate Chaplain to Speak at Kettering College

Kettering, Ohio (Sept. 5) – Barry Black, chaplain for the United States Senate, will be guestspeaker at a series of events hosted by Kettering College of Medical Arts on Friday, Sept. 21, and Saturday, Sept. 22, at Kettering Seventh-day Adventist Church.

On Friday, Sept. 21, gospel jazz artist Steve Norman will perform at 7:30 p.m., followed by Chaplain Black at 8:30 p.m. Chaplain Black also will be the featured speaker at Sabbath morning worship service at 11 a.m. on Sept. 22. Kettering SDA Church is located at 3939 Stonebridge Road in Kettering.

Rear Admiral Barry Black (ret.) was elected the 62nd chaplain of the United States Senate in 2003. Prior to coming to Capitol Hill, Chaplain Black served in the U.S. Navy for over 27 years, ending his distinguished career as the Chief of Navy Chaplains.
