Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BSHS) Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences programs acquire advanced skills, knowledge, and values to expand their professional roles in the healthcare environment while incorporating a comprehensive knowledge base as a healthcare professional.
The graduate earning the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) degree:
1. Analyzes and synthesizes diverse perspectives within interprofessional healthcare teams to effectively communicate.
2. Evaluates the utilization of information technology tools across diverse healthcare settings.
3. Engages in critical thinking, reflection, and problem-solving through evidence-based practice in multiple healthcare environments.
4. Analyzes healthcare policies and identifies areas for enhancement, proposing evidence-based strategies to advocate for systemic improvements, thereby fostering positive changes in public health outcomes.
5. Assesses cultural, ethnic, and individual diversity dynamics within evolving healthcare contexts, fostering inclusive environments, and facilitating positive patient-provider interactions.
