Vail has worked for Kettering College since 1988. She has a bachelor’s degree from Wittenburg University, a master’s degree from Wright State University, and her Ph.D. which she earned at Miami University. In addition to rhetoric and composition, she loves theology.  She also takes interest in the role of assessment in higher education.  She has taught Composition, Literature, Writing in the Sciences, and Writing in the Health Sciences. Her research includes the field of composition and rhetoric and how it might be informed by theology.  She is a member of College Composition and Communication.
