Important Upcoming Registration Dates

Registration for FA-24
- Registration for FA-24 (2024-2025 – August 26, 2024 – December 13, 2024)
- Monday, June 3, 2024 — online registration opens at 8:00am.
- Friday, July 12, 2024 — last day for the Summer 2023-2024 Semester.
- Friday, August 16, 2024 — online registration will be turned off at 12:00pm. Students must be financially cleared by August 16 to hold their registration.
- Monday, August 19th through Wednesday, August 28th is Late Registration.
- A completed paper Registration form must be submitted to the Records Office with appropriate signatures – this form is located in the Student Portal under Registration.
- A fee of $100.00 will be charged to continuing students who wait to register until the Late Registration period.

Registration for SP-24
Registering for SP-24 (2023-24 – January 8, 2023 – April 24, 2024)
• Monday, November 6, 2023, starts registration for Current Students in major and current Arts and Science students seeking a major and students newly admitted to a major. Online registration – turned on at 8:00 AM.
• Newly admitted students starting SP-24 should go to the Enrollment Next Steps page on the website (https://kc.edu/enrollment-next-steps/) and follow the instructions where they may make an appointment to help with their schedule and with online registration.
• Friday, December 15, 2023, is the last day for the Fall Semester.
• Thursday, December 21, 2023, online registration turned off at 4:00 p.m.
• Newly admitted students who need to make an $800.00 deposit will have until December 21, 2023, to make the deposit before their registration is canceled.
• After December 21, 2023, a paper registration form will need to be submitted with the appropriate signatures.
• Student Services offices will be closed from December 23rd through January 1st for the holidays and will reopen on January 2nd for late registration.
• January 2nd – January 10th is late registration for current students. Registration forms will need to be submitted with appropriate signatures, not online.
• Classes will begin on January 8th for the 2023-24 Spring Semester -
Registration for FA-23
- Monday, June 5, 2023, online registration opens at 8:00 a.m.
- All New Students to Kettering College please refer to the enrollment next steps for instructions. Here is the link: https://kc.edu/enrollment-next-steps/
- On the page the link takes you to New General Education students for FA-23 may either schedule an on-campus appointment or an online appointment through the appropriate links.
- During these appointments, you will go over your transfer credit if you have any, and receive your schedule of courses for the FA-23 semester.
- For FA-23 all new students will be registering by paper form. If you are on campus, you will sign the registration form as well as the credit agreement and the Records Office will register you for your courses. If you have an online appointment, you will be emailed the registration form and credit agreement for you to sign. Then you will need to email the signed form back to the records office where they will register you for your courses
- Friday, July 14, 2023, is the last day for Summer 2023 Semester.
- Friday, July 21, 2023, online registration turned off at 12:00 noon.
- The reason for the early cut-off is that starting FA-23, Kettering College will be starting a new Student Information System (SIS) and both the old and new systems will not be available during the first two weeks of August, July 28 through August 14. 2023.
- Monday, July 24th through Friday, August 25th, all current students will have to do a paper Registration form that will need to be submitted to the Records Office with appropriate signatures after this date.
- Newly admitted students who need to make an $800.00 down payment will have until Friday, Friday, August 18, 2023, to make the deposit before their registration is canceled. Please keep in mind that between July 28th and August 14th, the student portal will not be available to make payments as the system will be down for the move to the new SIS system.

Registration for WI-23
(For winter semester that begins on January 10, 2022 and ends on April 28, 2022)
• Monday, October 24, 2022, starts registration for Current Students in major and current Arts & Science students seeking a major and students newly admitted to a major. Online registration – turned on at 8:00 AM.
• New major students for Winter semester should be BSN-P, HESC & BSN-C.
• The Registrar’s office will be emailing each newly admitted student instructions on how to register online.
• Newly admitted students starting WI-23 will be registering online and may schedule an online appointment through the appropriate link: Need website link.
• Friday, December 16, 2022, is the last day for the Fall Semester.
• Friday, December 16, 2022, online registration turned off a 12:00 noon.
• Newly admitted students who need to make an $800.00 deposit will have until December 16, 2022 to make the deposit before their registration is cancelled.
Registration form will need to be submitted with appropriate signatures, not online.
• Student Services offices will be closed December 24th through January 2nd for the holidays and will reopen on January 3rd for late registration.
• January 3rd – January 6th is late registration for current students. Registration forms will need to be submitted with appropriate signatures, not online.- WINTER 2022 – CLASSES START – MONDAY, JANUARY 10, 2022.

Registration for SU-23
• Monday, March 20, 2023, starts registration for current students in a major and for students newly admitted to a major (MPAS Students). Online registration turned on at 8:00 AM.
• Thursday, April 27, 2023, is the last day for the Winter 2023 semester.
• Thursday, April 27, 2023, online registration will be turned off at 4:00 PM.
• Newly admitted students who need to make an $800.00 down payment will have until April 27, 2023, to make the deposit before their registration is canceled.
• Friday, April 28th – Wednesday, May 10th is late registration for current students. The registration form will need to be submitted to the Records Office with appropriate signatures, not online.

Prior to Scheduled Registration Dates

Academic Testing
- The math placement test is required prior to admission for prospective respiratory care, nuclear medicine and human biology students.
- Students doing the prerequisite year for diagnostic medical sonography may elect to take the math placement test.
- A score of 70% meets the minimum requirement for placement into MATH 165.

Financial Aid Application
- Submit online financial aid applications and appropriate paperwork to the financial aid office.
- It is strongly recommended that students desiring financial aid complete the FAFSA prior to registration deadlines.
- For more information, contact the Student Finance Office.
NOTE: Financial aid takes time to process. Students should not wait until the registration deadlines to begin this process. Submitting financial aid applications close to the registration dates does not allow time for the college to receive funding approval, which means an $800 payment will be required before registration for classes will be processed.

Acceptance Deposit
- Admissions deposits must be made prior to the scheduled registration date.
- For graduate students newly admitted to a program, the acceptance deposit is $500.00.
- For undergraduate returning students newly admitted to a program and new students directly admitted to a program, the acceptance deposit is $100.00.
- For undergraduate new students, not admitted to a program but are completing pre-requisite courses, the acceptance deposit is $100.00.
NOTE: Please allow two business days for processing online payments.

Students must clear all holds (i.e. college transcripts, etc.) to register online.

New and returning program students
- Students must contact their specific program to obtain any additional departmental registration instructions.
- Students are expected to work with their academic advisor for approval of course schedule.
- Advisors will enter clearance in the computer system prior to registration date.

Returning students
- Returning students who are not yet admitted to a program, are expected to meet with their assigned advisor to have their schedule approved.
- Advisors will enter online registration clearance in the computer system prior to registration date.

New students
- New students not yet admitted to a program, are not eligible to register online.
- In the fall, new student orientation days are designed for new Kettering College students accepted to start in the fall term. New students not yet admitted to a program are required to sign up for orientation days by visiting kc.edu/newstudentorientation for one of the orientation/registration dates to complete their registration for fall semester.
- Winter and summer: New students not yet admitted to a program will need to contact the Records Office for registration instructions when registering for winter and summer semesters.

Obtain financial clearance
- New program students and newly admitted program students may register without receiving financial clearance. However, financial clearance must be received by the registration clearance deadline to prevent being removed from courses.
- To receive financial clearance a student must either make a down payment of $800 and have a signed payment plan agreement on file, or have adequate financial assistance in place by the registration deadline to cover 100% of the tuition and fees for the semester.
- Students who fail to obtain financial clearance by the registration deadline will be automatically withdrawn from their courses. Students who are withdrawn from courses may re-register during late registration; however there is no guarantee of space in the original courses.
- Students utilizing Third Party Payment: The letter of sponsorship should be submitted to Student Finance Office, indicating term of enrollment and confirmation of amount sponsor will cover.
- Payments can be made online. Please allow two business days for processing online payments.
