Since joining the team at Kettering Health Main Campus in the Emergency Department in 2020, Johnjé Jasper completed the Nurse Residency Program, took TNCC training to be eligible to care for trauma patients, completed the preceptorship training, and took part in shared governance. She transitioned to Kettering Health Miamisburg where she trained new hires as a preceptor, joined the unit council, and spearheaded a program with a coworker to address the sudden influx of new hires which included making resources more readily available, surveying employees, a welcome board, and mentorship program which they used to apply for the Nurse Residency Program. Johnjé is also a member of the Robert Patterson Unity Forum, an employee resource group, and has met with DEI Committee Members to tour Sinclair’s display of African American History. She also contributed to the Front-Line Focus Group and contributed to a report by the Center Excellence Project Manager. Johnjé was an adjunct professor with Foundations of Nursing students in the Fall 2022 semester & enjoyed seeing the students grow in confidence and learn new skills. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oakwood University and currently resides in the Dayton, OH area. She is delighted to join the team at Kettering College full-time and is passionate about removing barriers to make higher education and healthcare more easily accessible to all. Johnjé looks forward to her service with the Community Health Worker Training Program.
