Boost Your Success with Kettering College’s Science and Math Prep Workshop!
Are you an incoming Kettering College freshman looking to strengthen your foundation in science and math before the fall semester? Join our free, three-day workshop designed to prepare you for academic success!
This free, three-day (August 20-22, full schedule listed below) workshop will begin the week before the first day of the semester. The sessions are open to all Kettering College incoming freshmen; however, it is required for students with lower math/science sub-scores on the ACT/SAT exams or the Kettering College Math Placement Test.

What is the refresher course?
This course is designed to equip students with the foundational skills, effective learning strategies, and confidence necessary to excel in the study of science and mathematics. Through a combination of interactive lectures, practical exercises, and collaborative activities, students will develop critical thinking abilities, and problem-solving techniques, and develop study strategies for learning key scientific and mathematical principles. The course will emphasize the application of these skills in real-world scenarios, fostering confidence and competence in tackling fundamental scientific and mathematical problems.

Who should attend the sessions?
There are currently two ways we determine the need for the refresher. ACT/SAT scores, and KC Math Placement Testing Scores. The charts below should be used as a guide.

Please bring a laptop and any cords needed to keep it running during the day. If you follow the technology requirements for Kettering College, it will allow you to participate in the workshop activities.
