Kettering College Announces New Director of Alumni Engagement

November 1, 2018, Kettering, Ohio – Ben Hotelling has recently been named the Director of Alumni Engagement at Kettering College. For the past 2 years, Hotelling filled the role of Kettering College’s Director of Career Services and helped students achieve their career objectives. He will continue to hold this role alongside the alumni relations responsibilities.

During his time as Career Services Director, Hotelling has been instrumental in increasing the Kettering College Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) job placement rate within Kettering Health Network from 22% to 72%. Additionally, he has spearheaded numerous projects that led to a substantial growth in the online BSN completion program.

“I believe that by combining our Career Services and Alumni Engagement departments we will create a greater sense of community for our graduates,” says Adam Brown, Dean of Student Success. “Ben’s expertise and talent for connecting with people will help facilitate meaningful connections and relationships as well as creating a comprehensive career development plan and mentorship for our students involving alumni and potential employers.”

Hotelling previously held several other roles within Kettering Health Network. He worked as an admissions counselor at Kettering College in 2012, then moved to Kettering Health Network’s Human Resources Department as a Network Recruiter. After that appointment, he transitioned to Fort Hamilton Hospital where he was the Manager of Business Development and in charge of building relationships with physicians and leaders across the hospital to ensure key service line growth.

“I am excited for the opportunity to connect with our alumni and find ways to enrich their engagement with the Kettering College community,” says Hotelling, “Teresa Simmons built such strong relationships during her time as director and I can’t wait to continue this work.”

Hotelling holds a Masters of Science in Higher Education Leadership Development from Wright State University and a Bachelor’s of Education from Andrews University. He was raised in Dayton, Ohio.
