These policies apply to faculty and staff of Kettering College and should be read in conjunction with the employee policies of Kettering Health. Throughout this section, Kettering College may be referred to as the College, Kettering College, or KC. Likewise, Kettering Health – Main Campus may be referenced as KHMC, Kettering Medical Center, the Medical Center, the Hospital, or KMC, and the broader healthcare system may be referred to as Kettering Health or KH. Faculty and staff of Kettering College are employees of Kettering Health – Main Campus; therefore, the Kettering Health Employee Policies govern matters related to system policies and procedures.
The Kettering College Faculty Handbook and Staff Policies supplement those policies by addressing matters specific to faculty and staff roles within the academic environment. In the event of any inconsistency, the Kettering Health Employee Policies will serve as the controlling documents. The administration of Kettering College reserves the right to revise, modify, or discontinue any policies, practices, or benefits at any time.
